Marttiini Hiilileuku 240

Carbon steel leuku with 13 cm blade.

This is a very welcome addition to Marttiini’s lineup. As carbon steel blades are easy to sharpen to a very sharp edge, this leuku is ready for fishing, hunting and bushcraft use. The handle is made of birch gnarl. Blade: 13 cm carbon steel blade, hardness HRC 59.5 Total length 24 cm Weight 220 g Birch gnarl handle with wax coating Sharpening angle 22º with Scandi grind Leather sheath included Leuku is the specific subtype of puukko knives used in the northernmost parts of Finland, in Lapland. Leuku knives have more rugged and massive blades than average puukko knives and are good for batoning as well as whittling. Carbon steel blades require a touch of care as they’re not stainless. Dry the blade after each use, and give it a thin coating of salt-free oil once in a while. Handles made of synthetic materials always look the same, but wood handles each have a unique grain pattern - this means the knife you receive will not match the product image 100%. Please note that we do not accept grain patterns as a reason for a product exchange. Marttiini knives produced after October 2023 are made in Estonia.
